Vladivostok International Airport Summarises Results of First Half of This Year
Following the results of the first six months of 2015, the total passenger flow of JSC «Vladivostok International Airport» was 760 th. people. 553 th. passengers were transported on domestic air routes and 207 th. passengers on international ones. On average, the airport carried 4.2 th. passengers a day within the accounting period.
During the first six months, the highest passenger traffic rate was achieved by such airline companies as IrAero (+ 40%), Aurora (+11%), Air Koryo (+10%), Yakutia Airlines (+5%) and KatekAvia (Azur Air) (the airline company began to fly at the end of 2014).
As relates to domestic airlines, passenger traffic growth was recorded on domestic routes: Blagoveshchensk (+148%), Krasnodar (+105%), Chita (+82%), Pulkovo (+42%), Magadan (+28%), Yekaterinburg (+11%) and Irkutsk (+8%) and international ones: Harbin (+172%), Yangyang (+161%), Pyongyang (+58%), Cam Ranh (+36%), Dalian (+35%) and Busan (+23%). In the first half of 2015, transportation within the region to Kavalerovo, Plastun, Terney was actively developed: the number of flights was increased up to two a day.
The route network was extended owing to a resumed flight to Tashkent of Uzbekiston Havo Jullari airline company. New destinations were opened in Ulan-Ude with Center-South, a new airline company, and IrAero operating there. “KrasAvia”, a new company, began to fly to Blagoveshchensk in the first half of 2015. On international destinations regular flights between Vladivostok and Changchun were started by China Southern company.
