Vladivostok International Airport takes part in Routes Asia 2019 International Forum
Vladivostok, March 15, 2019, – Vladivostok International Airport together with the Tourist Department of Primorsky region took part in the international forum for development of aviation routes – Routes Asia 2019, that had taken place in Cebu (Philippines) from March 10 to March 12.
The Forum is one of the major international events in the field of aviation route development where representatives of airports, airlines, and national tourist organizations meet to establish new and strengthen existing relations and promote cooperation.
Vladivostok International Airport takes part in Routes forums every year. This year the delegation from the Primorye air harbor held more than 30 work meetings and negotiations with airlines and airports where the perspectives of new flights from Vladivostok Airport were discussed.

- In general, the airlines feel optimistic about the increase of demand in Primorsky region and Vladivostok on the part of tourists from the East-Asian countries. This time the special emphasis was given to the attraction of Chinese airlines. The airport establishes a goal to open new destinations already this year. As of now three Chinese airlines – Juneyao Airlines, Ruili Airlines, and Tianjin Airlines – have preliminary set out their plans to start making flights to Vladivostok. In addition, airlines from Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Japan and a number of other countries have expressed their interest in developing cooperation. During the Forum meetings were held with the continuing partners of the airport – Jeju Air, China Southern, China Express airlines aimed at strengthening the previous business contacts and discussing joint development plans.
Participation in Routes Asia 2019 was supported again by the Tourist Department of Primorsky region. Beside from the schedule of business negotiations of the Airport the Forum participants had an opportunity for three days to get acquainted with the places of interest of Primorye shown at the joint exposition stand of Vladivostok Airport and Primorsky region. Significant interest shown by the participants proved that the capital of the Far East of Russia is a place of growing popularity being the European tourist attraction closest to Asia.
