Vladivostok International Airport provided services to a record number of passengers on international flights
Vladivostok, August 30, 2017, - Vladivostok International Airport informs about a record number of passengers handled in Primorye air harbour on the international flights. Since the start of 2017 total international passenger turnover comprised 500,000 persons, which is 37 percent (136,000 persons) more than in 2016. Daily record was also renewed up to 9,403 passengers.
The number of international passengers handled in Primorye air harbour since the start of 2017 comprised more than 500,000 persons, which is 37 percent (136,000 persons) more than over the same period in 2016. It is expected that by results of August 2017 the number of international passengers will reach 90,000 passengers per month for the first time ever.
On August 04, 2017 Vladivostok International Airport set a record for the number of passengers handled over the day. The indicator grew up to 9,403 persons. That day a daily record of passenger flow on the international airlines was also renewed up to 3964 passengers. Previous passenger flow record was registered on August 31, 2016 during arrival of EEF participants and guests, when 8,300 passengers were handled over the day.
Passenger flow increase is connected with expansion of destinations network and attraction of new air carriers. The greatest contribution to passenger flow growth was provided by international airline flights. A number of new international destinations from Vladivostok was opened over the past few months of this year – Osaka (Japan), Chongju, Cheju (Republic of Korea), Shenyang, and Sanya (P.R.C.). Besides, capacity of existing destinations was considerably increased – Harbin, Changchun (P.R.C.), Seoul, Busan (Republic of Korea) Tokyo (Japan) and others.

- Airport team is actively working on development of air communication in the capital of Primorye. Its outcome is the opening of new regular and charter flights, appearance of new air carriers. The most substantial growth of indicators is observed on the international destinations. Over 7 months of 2017 international passenger flow of the airport grew almost by 40 percent. It is another step forward implementation of the strategy aimed at development of transportation between the Russian Far East and the countries of the Asia Pacific Rim.
