- We’re expecting that such tours will help establish partnership relations and attract new airline companies, open new air routes. We’re also planning to discuss an increase of the number of regular flights with Asian airline companies. The airport capacity makes it possible to increase the passenger traffic on existing directions. In November of this year the 2 millionth passenger was registered in the airport but it is not a limit for us. The passenger terminal is designed for 3,5 million passengers a year.
Within the framework of the familiarization tour there was also organized an excursion around the airport system in the course of which guests got acquainted with the work of the airport production departments. A special attention was paid to the aircraft ground handling and the following of Aviation Safety instructions.
Let us mention that the Vladivostok Airport team is actively implementing a program of attracting new air carriers in order to develop the route network and increase passenger traffic. This work has resulted in opening of new flights and a significant growth of indicators on international directions. The number of international passengers who has been handled in the air harbor of Primorye since the beginning of 2017 is 716 000, which is 40% more than over the same period in 2016.
