Aleksandr Bobrov, Commercial Aviation Director of Vladivostok International Airport:
- The interest of South Korean tourists in our city and region is growing year by year. At present, the transportation between Vladivostok and airports of South Korea by air is carried out by two Russian carriers – Avrora and S7 Airlines – and four South Korean carriers – Korean Air, Jeju Air, T’way Air, Eastar Jet and Air Busan. We are pleased to welcome Air Philip airline as a new regular partner of our airport. We are sure that the new flight to Muan city will be in strong demand with Russian and South Korean travelers, will help to attract more tourists to our regions and will promote more active development of the tourist, as well as economic, commercial and cultural relations.
Today, the South Korea is one of the most popular segments in the international destinations network of the Primorye air harbour. For 10 months of 2018, the passenger flow on the South Korean routes increased by 78% from last year.
Recall that this year Vladivostok International Airport for the first time in its history handled one million passengers on the foreign routes since the beginning of the year, including due to increased demand for tourist trips to Vladivostok from the population of the Eastern Asia countries.
