Vladivostok Airport welcomed a new Sichuan Airlines flight
On May 11, 2017 a maiden direct regular flight Harbin-Vladivostok by Sichuan Airlines arrived to Vladivostok International Airport. The craft was welcomed on the apron by representatives of the airport and mass media.
The craft proceeded to the ramp through the watergate that was created with the help of water cannons from the fire engines. Red carpet and traditional welcome of a new flight was captured by the cameras of plane spotters and mass media representatives.
- Our airport welcomes commencement of Sichuan Airlines flights to Vladivostok. Taking into account new flights, the number of flights from Vladivostok to Harbin is increased up to 7 a week. Aurora and China Southern Airlines also operate regular flights between Vladivostok and Harbin. And we are expecting that appearance of the third air carrier will provide more affordable prices for air conveyance as well as service improvement, - Alexander Bobrov, Head of Commercial Department of JSC “VIA” noted, - the first flight by Sichuan Airlines with almost 100% load in both directions proves necessity of further increase of flights from China to Vladivostok. By the results of 4 months the airport passenger flow in Chinese destination grew by 46 percent. Capacity increase will allow meeting the growing demand for flights to Vladivostok by the Chinese.
The flight en-route Vladivostok – Harbin will be operated twice a week on Thursday and Sunday. It will be operated by A321 aircraft. Traveling time is 1 hour.
