Vladivostok Airport switches to summer flight schedule
On March 29, Vladivostok International Airport (JSC “VIA”) launches its summer flight schedule which will remain in effect till October 24. The airport intends to increase, in conjunction with its partner airlines, frequency of some flights and resume seasonal routes during the coming summer season.
It will traditionally support flights on popular domestic routes to Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Yakutsk, Novosibirsk, Magadan, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and others.
St. Petersburg, Russia’s northern capital, will become easier accessible in the summer season due to resumption of Transaero’s direct flight. Flights to St. Petersburg will start already in April.
A new air carrier will appear on Vladivostok airport flight schedule in April. Flights in the route between Vladivostok and Blagoveshchensk will be operated by KrasAvia (Krasnoyarsk). Previously, there were two flights per week from Vladivostok to Blagoveshchensk on the schedule. As the new carrier comes, this number will grow to five flights each week.
IrAero Airlines will open a flight between Vladivostok and Ulan-Ude in the new season. This flight will be available each Saturday.
The number of flights to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will grow after S7 Airlines adds two more flights on this route in the summer.
The number of flights to Pusan will grow in the coming summer season as well. Aurora Airlines will operate five flights a week. S7 Airlines will add a second flight per week on its route Vladivostok – Seoul. The number of flights to Hong Kong will grow to five times per week. It is worth noting that there were 2-3 flights per week on this route in the last year’s summer season. Regular flights to East Asian cities will be continued – Beijing, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Mudanjiang.
Flights to Harbin, Dalian and Yanji will be resumed during the coming tourism season. Yakutia Airlines’ traditional charter flight program will include flights to South Korea – Yangyang and Japan – Okinawa, Osaka, Tokyo, Niigata and Okayama. Charter flights to Thailand and Vietnam will be operated by “Icarus”, “KatekAvia” and “UTair” air carriers.
Intra-regional flights are operated by Aurora Airlines. It will continue flying to Kavalerovo every day and two times per week to Plastun.
