Vladivostok Airport summed up half a year

Vladivostok International Airport» JSC («VIA») had provided services to 635.5 thousand passengers during 6 months of the year of 2011.

Vladivostok International Airport» JSC («VIA») had provided services to 635.5 thousand passengers during 6 months of the year of 2011. Total passenger traffic rose by 16 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the period from January to June, 2011 on domestic routes were served 484 thousand passengers and on international flights were served 152 thousand passengers. Growth by the year of 2010 was 10 and 41 percent respectively (according to figures mentioned above).

During the first half of this year in the Vladivostok international airport the number of sorties was 2798. The growth of this index for the first six months of 2010 amounted to 11 percent.

The highest volume of passenger traffic during the fixed period were on the routes to Moscow, Seoul, South Korea, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Beijing, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

In June of 2011 the volume of overall passenger traffic was 131 thousand people, which is on 14 percent higher than in the year of 2010. Passenger traffic on domestic routes increased by 11 percent to 106 thousand people, for international routes — by 28 percent and amounted to 25 thousand people. The number of flights reached to 545, which is higher than the previous year on 11 percent.

— In general, the results of all of the «VIA» JSC key indicators for last six months showed an increase on 15–20 percent. This is due to the rapid development of production, infrastructure and the opening of new routes. If this trend continues there is every reason to believe that at the end of 2011 we will reach the planned volume of passenger traffic of 1.5 million people — said the Deputy Director General for Economy and Finance, «VIA» JSC, Olga Rozhnova.
