Vladivostok Airport met delegation from Niigata Airport
A delegation of responsible persons from Niigata Airport met with representatives of JSC “VIA” in the airport of Vladivostok on August 22 to strengthen their cooperation on development of an air flight between the two cities.
It should be noted that it was not the first meeting of Japanese partners with Vladivostok Airport representatives. Similar visits had been made to Vladivostok Airport before. The Japanese guests thanked the Russian side for their warm reception and stressed that they are greatly interested in expanding relationships and in further development of the air service linking Niigata and Vladivostok.
- We are also pleased to meet once again with our Japanese colleagues. Vladivostok Airport actively supports the Japanese side’s initiative on developing the route between our cities, - says Alexander Bobrov, Head of Commercial Department of JSC “VIA”.
It is worth reminding that flights from Vladivostok Airport to Japanese city Niigata are presently performed on a charter basis only. During their meeting today, the parties shared their opinions on establishing a regular air service between Niigata and Vladivostok airports and opening new air routes.
JSC “VIA” representatives stated during the meeting that there are all prerequisites for building up passenger traffic between the two cities. As infrastructure improved in Primorsky region and new tourist sites appeared recently, the region has become much more attractive for visitors from neighboring countries.
At the close of their meeting, the parties made an exchange of souvenirs and the representatives of the Japanese delegation thanked JSC “VIA” management for exhaustive information about the airport of Primorye.
