Vladivostok Airport is the winner of the “Best Airport in the CIS” contest in the “Dynamically developing airport” nomination
By decision of the Public Council of the “The Best Airport of the year in the CIS” contest, Vladivostok airport was declared a winner in the “Dynamically developing airport” nomination by the results of 2013.
The “Best Airport of the CIS” contest is established and held annually by the Civil Aviation “Airport” Association. Among goals of the event is the promotion of airports that have achieved the best results in productive activities and made significant contributions to the development of civil aviation. Participating enterprises are evaluated by objective indicators achieved in the development of a route network, ensuring safety of flights, the development of material and technical base, improvement of the quality of passenger service, etc.
The main result of the JSC “VIA” operations in 2013 was a record-breaking increase in the total passenger traffic to the value of 1.85 million passengers and holding the first place among Far East Russia’s airports in terms of international passenger traffic.
The high score of JSC “VIA” demonstrates the effectiveness of the company and its constant development. It should be noted that by the results of work in 2009 and 2011 Vladivostok airport also was the winner of the “Best Airport in the CIS” contest.
