Vladivostok Airport has summarized results of the year 2015
Vladivostok International Airport has summarized business activities results for 2015. During the period under report total passenger flow of Vladivostok Airport was 1 million 698 thousand persons which is 5% less as compared to the same period of the previous year.
1 million 244 thousand passengers were transported on domestic routes (- 4%); 454 thousand passengers – on international routes (- 9%). Daily passenger flow constituted 4.7 thousand.
- In total, I appraise the company’s business activities results for 2015 as positive. In spite of considerable reduction of Moscow routes capacity owing to cancel of Transaero flights Vladivostok Airport managed to preserve transport accessibility of the region through new carriers involvement. Well coordinated work of the airport personnel allowed keeping performance indices reduction, which most Russian airports faced in 2015, within the reasonable limits, - Lukishin Igor, Director General of the JSC “Vladivostok International Airport”, pointed out.
At year end air companies “Avrora” and “Aeroflot” showed the largest growth of passenger flow as they increased quantity of air travelers transported by 41 thousand (+9%) and 14 thousand (+3%) respectively. Also in 2015 the following companies were registered to increase passenger flow significantly: China Southern (+84%), Uzbekiston Airways (+64%), Yakutia (+19%), IrAero (+16%), Air Koryo (+10%), Pegas Fly (+10%).
In 2015 following international destinations from Vladivostok demonstrated considerable passenger traffic growth: Harbin (+247%), Yang-Yang (+147%), Tashkent (+64%), Mudanjiang (+57%), Utapao (+38%), Busan (+36%), Kam Ranh (+15%), Pyongyang (+10%).
As for domestic airlines, passenger flow upward trend was registered on the routes to Blagoveshchensk (+183%), Krasnodar (+51%), Yekaterinburg (+35%), Chita (+19%), Irkutsk (+6%), Magadan (+3%), Novosibirsk (+3%), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (+3%).
In 2015 new companies UTair, KrasAvia, Center-South, VIM-Avia, Azur Air started their regular flights in Vladivostok Airport. New regular lines were added to Vladivostok Airport route network: Ulan-Ude (IrAero, Center-South) and Changchun (China Southern). List of carriers which perform flights from Vladivostok to Moscow was extended. It included air companies UTair and VIM Avia.
Intraregional transportation performed by basic carrier, air company Avrora, started developing rapidly in 2015. New destinations to Terney, Dalnegorsk and Dalnerechensk were added to the network of regular regional lines of Vladivostok Airport. Also the company continued regular airline service of the settlements Plastun and Kavalerovo. Overall frequency of intraregional flights from Vladivostok Airport increased from 1 to 20 flights a week.
