A new flight to Osaka is a long-awaited event for our airport. In general, the flights from Vladivostok to Japan have received unprecedented development this year. The frequency of regular flights to Tokyo has been increased more than twofold, up to daily flights. And now the flights to Japanese capital will be added by another regular destination – Osaka, - Alexander Bobrov, Head of Commercial Department of JSC “VIA” noted, - the passenger flow of Vladivostok airport in Japanese destination grew by 22% in Q1 2017. During summer period we expect even stronger growth thanks to both increase of tourist flow from Japan and increased interest in travelling to Japan by the population of the region.
The flights en-route Vladivostok - Osaka will be operated by a A-320 aircraft on a weekly basis on Wednesday and Friday. The craft has spacious passenger compartments for economic and business classes and it is designed for conveyance of 158 passengers.
It should be noted that Vladivostok airport is actively working on expansion of the destinations network. Launching of a new flight to Japan from the capital of Primorye is another step forward implementation of JSC “VIA” strategy for development of the international aviation between the Russian Far East and APR countries.
