Over 160 people voted in Vladivostok International Airport

Vladivostok, March 19, 2018. – Vladivostok International Airport informs about the results of election of the President of the Russian Federation at its voting station. According to figures of voting station, among 164 people who voted in the territory of the air harbour were air travellers and employees of the air company and linked entities.

Voting station No. 381 in the territory of the airport was opened as early as on February 25, and all citizens unable to vote on March 18, 2018 at their places of residence had the opportunity to file the application for being added to the voters’ list at the location and to vote in the territory of Vladivostok International Airport on the election day.

On March 18 – the day of election of the President of the Russian Federation – the provisional voting station No. 381 opened at 8 a.m. Some of people wishing to vote for the President of the Russian Federation were passengers and visitors of the air harbour of Primorye, and others were the employees of the airport, public authorities and other linked entities who had their working shift in the airport complex on that day and were unable to vote at voting stations at their places of residence.

Galina Pronina, employee of Vladivostok International Airport:

- Today my shift is from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. It is very good that a polling station was organized in the territory of our company. Being able to vote is very important for me, and electing the President of the country is a landmark event, as we are deciding on our children’s future.

Stanislav Morozov, passenger of Vladivostok – Seoul flight:

- We are flying abroad today, so we have no time to vote at our voting station. I knew in advance that on the election day we’d be at the airport and filed the application. Now that I have exercised my electoral rights we’re going for vacation with a sense of having fulfilled our duty.

It bears reminding that to assist the electoral commission in organization of provisional voting station at the airport, the field headquarters composed of the heads of the air company’s operating units was created. Its major task was to provide all possible assistance to the voters willing to exercise their electoral rights in the territory of the air hub.
