Agreement on cooperation signed between Vladivostok International Airport and Nanki-Shirahama airport
Vladivostok, November 28, 2018. - Vladivostok International Airport reports the entry into the agreement on cooperation with International Airport of Nanki-Shirahama located in Wakayama prefecture (Japan). Signing of memorandum of understanding will help to join efforts aimed at the development of air communication between Primorye and Land of the Rising Sun.
Japan is one of strategic partners of the Primorsky region in the sphere of tourism. Commitment of the parties to establish comprehensive international cooperation will strengthen the cultural links between two regions, promote the development of the aviation market, destinations network, cross-cultural communication, economic and commercial cooperation between Wakayama and Vladivostok. The strategic collaboration will also focus on exchange of information and expertise, organization of joint marketing campaigns, including for promotion of airport services.
Now the management faces the problem of finding the air carriers for making flights on the route Vladivostok – Wakayama and expects a lot of work aimed at the development of the air carriage market for the purpose of increase in the number of tourists arriving to Wakayama and Vladivostok.
The territory of the Wakayama prefecture is the home of Shirahama – one of the most popular resorts of Japan, which is rightfully ranked among the best hot spring resorts in Japan. The peninsula accommodates a snow-white beach which is the sister beach of the Hawaiian Waikiki. The religious city of Koyasan consisting of 117 temples being the world heritage sites stands on the top of the mountain.
